How precious are your jewels? Do you protect and cherish each gem you own? Keep them pure, clean and gleaming? Our precious gem is a 24-carat birthday beauty today and we cherish her like gold.
On this day, 24 years ago, we were gifted with a priceless piece of gold. Our sweet daughter. Originally set to be a Christmas baby, our gift had other plans with coming a week early. How’s that for a Christmas delivery from God? I don’t think Amazon (and definitely Canada Post) would have great stats like that!
Keeping in with past yearly themes, it only seemed fit to title this one 24-Carat. Last year – at 23, the silver platter was linked to the year and this year – is the purest of metals – gold.

When I read this list – I immediately see our daughter’s qualities. Not only is she beautiful inside and out, smart, a leader, funny, and eludes so much love and kindness, she is also:
- So pure and faithful.
- She shines so bright to anyone within her vicinity with her heart of gold.
- She is rare with her kindness and loyalty which makes her so valuable to her family and friends.
- She was raised to except nothing but the best and she knows her worth and quality within.
Those qualities listed above encompass our precious gem. She is not only so valuable to us – her family – but to also her loved ones outside of her happy home. I think anyone who knows her would agree – she is simply and purely 24-carat gold.
