Pineapple Principle

pineapple principle

I was on Pinterest the other day and I saw a post that caught my eye.  It was a picture of a pineapple and a cute saying below.  It struck deep inside because it is a saying that every female should try to follow.  The pineapple principle is a great way to live your life.

Let’s breakdown the pineapple itself.  What do you see when you look at a pineapple?

A tall pointy ‘crown’

A tough exterior that can weather any storm

An inside full of sweetness

How do you see yourself?  Do you resonate with the first list below? Or the second?

First List:

  • I am kind
  • I am helpful
  • I am forgiving
  • I am grateful
  • I am smart
  • I am organized
  • I am pretty
  • I am supportive
  • I am funny
  • I am capable

Second List:

  • I am weak
  • I am a follower
  • I am scared
  • I am not good enough
  • I am fat
  • I am ugly
  • I am judgmental
  • I am timid
  • I am needy
  • I am too serious

The Pineapple Principle is a statement that ALL women can and should live by.

Stand Tall:  Be confident in who you are.  You are capable, strong, smart, and enough. You can weather any storm that comes your way.

Wear a Crown:  Every woman is a princess.  Every woman is a queen.  You are cherished by many.  You are pretty enough. You are beautiful.  You are perfect in every way.  Be proud of the woman that you are.

Be Sweet:  Be sweet and kind every day.  That will pour over onto others.  You are a gift to your family and friends. Even your coworkers.  Your kindness and love will go miles to uplift someone you encounter daily.

These three principles can shape you into the woman God created you to be.  So, along with your gratitude journal or list (that I hope you are doing daily), incorporate the Pineapple Principle into your daily life.  The principle is simple – only 3 steps to follow – it can not only change the way you see yourself, act, and feel, but it can and will spread like wildfire to those around you.

My challenge for you – after you are finished reading this – is to stop what you are doing and practice being a pineapple:

Stand Tall (Slouching and being small can represent weakness).

Wear a Crown (Imagine a beautiful crown resting on your head – if you have one, go get it and try it on. In all honesty – I do! And I did!  I have my Fair Queen Crown from when I was a teenager and putting a tangible ‘crown’ on my head helped set the tone).

Be Sweet (Go about your day complimenting at least 3 people today and don’t let anything negative or cross come out of your mouth. Show others your sweet and kind self).

Now go and be the strong, amazing, and sweet person that you are.
