We found this property years ago (well, I should clarify… my husband found it) while our daughter was attending school in the area. The owners – Joyce and Mark – are simply wonderful. Their attention to detail in all aspects of this outstanding BnB sets the bar high for any other bed and breakfast around.
Situated just 10 minutes from St Jacobs, Ontario – in Elmira, this bed and breakfast is perfectly located for anyone visiting family attending Wilfred Laurier University, Waterloo University, or Conestoga Collage. Also in the area is the world-famous St Jacob’s Farmer’s Market so if you fancy the old world charm of markets and antiques, the Amish, and beautiful country-side views – then you’ll find what you are searching for here.
As you arrive at the property, a globe-lit lane guides you through an open field and peaceful countryside. Nearing the stately stone home, you wind around to a beautifully appointed private guest entrance.

During this visit, we stayed in the Sunset Suite, where luxury and comfort blend effortlessly. We’ve also had the pleasure of experiencing the Heritage Haven room and the Moonlight Loft room on previous visits, each delivering an exceptional night’s sleep that’s hard to top.

You’ll awaken to the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a mouth-watering breakfast prepared with care. A full sit-down selection may include fresh fruit, omelets, crepes or pancakes, along with bacon or sausages. It felt reminiscent of a traditional Irish breakfast — and if you’ve followed along for a while, you know just how much I adore Ireland. Absolutely outstanding.

From the thoughtful details to the warm hospitality — including being surprised by freshly baked cookies being left at your door — every touch feels intentional and heartfelt.
